Breakfast couldn’t be any better.

This past week I visited the Ranchers Club for the first time. I decided I would eat breakfast because it fitted the best with my school schedule. I made the reservation  on Thursday. I went with my friend and her friend from Dallas Saturday morning. They woke me up bright and early Saturday so I could do this.

The breakfast is a buffet of any type of food you would imagine that people eat in the morning. It cost $9 dollars per person for the buffet but it is all you can eat. I charged all of us on my bursar account so I would not have to use some actual money out of my pocket.  I first went for the bacon and pancakes. They were some of the best I have had. I wanted to try as much food as possible while I was there to help me with my blog. My favorite thing there was the french toast. It made up for the under cooked eggs that I ate. Overall the food was really good. Some of the best tasting food I have had.

The service during breakfast was good. They were very good filling drinks for everybody. It was slow when we went so I am wondering how good it is when there are a lot more people. I want to visit during lunch or dinner hours here soon to see how it is. Breakfast couldn’t show me the full potential of what the Ranchers Club has to offer. I hope I can convince a few friends to come with me this week for lunch so I don’t have go by myself. Have any of you guys attended the breakfast at the Ranchers Club? How was your experience? Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should eat for lunch?

The first time I went to Rancher’s Club I had breakfast too! I’d stayed at the Atherton with my mom and sister and a breakfast buffet was included in what we paid for the room. I thought it was great! I love breakfast food, and theirs definitely did not disappoint!

But you’re right, breakfast does not show the full potential of The Rancher’s Club. I don’t know if the lunch and dinner menus are the same, but I definitely recommend steak! It’s some of the best I’ve ever had, if not the best. The potatoes au gratin are really good, and both times I’ve eaten dinner there I’ve started out with a half order of pasta for my appetizer. I love pasta, and Rancher’s Club’s is homemade and so good! I hope you enjoy your lunch or dinner!

I’m glad someone else here enjoys breakfast food. Thanks for the suggestions on what I should have. I do enjoy steak! I might have to try it the next time I go.

Nick, great job on the blog! It is informative but not pushy and great PR for the Ranchers Club. A lot of students at OSU don’t even know the Ranchers Club exists or they think, like you said in another blog post, that it is just for people dressed up in suits and ties. I’ve only been a few times, but it’s great food for a reasonable price that you can charge on your bursar; which all students should be thankful for. The breakfast food sounds really yummy and I’m definitely interested in trying it out soon! Keep up the good work.
